Milan, 24 June 2024 – Two girls hit. The car continues the racewith one of the two stuck under the middle and the legs that emerge from the body. Then the rescue at the last minute by police and passers-by, while the investor – who will test positive for alcohol – risks being lynched by the crowd. This is what happened yesterday at 10pm in the Bovisa district.

The dynamics
The investment takes place on the corner of Ricotti and Mercantini streets: the two girls, both Italian, aged 30 and 24, are hit head-on by a car – arriving from Piazza Schiavone – while they are crossing the street, according to some testimonies on the pedestrian crossings. The thirty-year-old is thrown a few meters and remains on the asphalt while her 24 year old friend gets stuck under the car.
A passing police car from the Comasina police station he notices the car moving forward as his legs emerge from underneathin via Massara de Capitani at the corner of piazza Bausan, and blocks her: the driver, a 21-year-old Italian, traveled more than 300 meters dragging the girl, practically up to the square. In the meantime Passers-by and residents come running: everyone works hard to help the young girl, some throwing blankets out of the windows to cover her wounds, some helping her on the street. Others try to attack the investor who is made to take refuge in the Volante.
The wound
The 24-year-old, who is losing a lot of blood, is rescued by 118 and transported to the Niguarda hospital, where is undergoing surgery performed by the Trauma team of the Cà granda hospital and is still hospitalized in serious condition. The prognosis is guarded: he has injuries to the head, trunk, arms and legs. He is located in the intensive care unit. The friend, on the other hand, is accompanied in code green to San Carlo due to the bruises reported and the shock. She was then discharged with a 7-day prognosis.
The local police proceed to ascertain the dynamics. After the initial investigations, the 21-year-old driver of the vehicle tested positive for alcohol and was suspect on the loose. The charge is driving while intoxicated.
