Student finds a wallet on the bus and gives it to the driver: there were 60 thousand euros inside

He found an unattended purse on the bus and handed it to the driver, who after opening it was surprised to discover its contents: 60 thousand euros in cash.

During a journey on Tper line 30 in Bologna last week, a teenage student was attracted by a visibly unattended bag. He approached and took it, without even thinking about opening it to see its contents, which later turned out to be rather unusual.

The gesture

The boy didn’t think much about it: he went straight to the driver to give him the probably lost object, since he was far from any other passenger on the bus.

The driver took delivery of the bag and, unlike the young man, opened it, discovering that it was full of cash, 60 thousand euros to be exact, all packaged in packets. In addition to the money, there were also documents and other personal effects, which made it easy to trace the person who had lost the purse.

Investigations in progress

What was found was handed over entirely to the police officers, contacted by the bus driver, who immediately started an investigation. Once all the necessary investigations have been carried out, the Bolognese municipal administration says, the entire amount will be returned to the owner.
