Was it your son who hooked you up?
“Partially yes. It was difficult to get him involved, but he made us available and we managed to get him. If we had done it with a substitute it wouldn’t have been the same.”
Instead, before the start of the concerts, a short film was shown in which you had to act.
«Over the years they had already had some small experiences, but not of this level. He didn’t even turn out very badly, we wanted to redo the robbery of Point Break.”

«Exactly, with the masks of the Italian presidents. The credit for the success goes to Fabrizio Conte, who has worked with us for years and will also work on the San Siro concert.”
What should we expect from this concert?
«You will hear songs that we have never done live and we will work a lot on the scenography. We will do things that only a stadium allows you to do.”
What does its future hold for us instead?
«I’m always in the studio, every morning I take the car and come here. I can’t do anything else, every now and then I go to the gym but nothing more. But I improved. Before, I had a home office and almost had no social relationships.”
Also in Private Clubthe reality show that told the story of your lives, it was clear that it was the one with the least hobbies.
«I’ve never had a side hobby. As a boy I played football in Bresso and every now and then I went skiing. Today I have little time left to do these things.”
His hobby coincides with his work.
“Certain. But then the manufacturer does this. If you want to work at a certain level you have to give up many things. I’ve always done it, I left friends and family behind. When everyone went out for weekends I was never there.”
Is there anything you regret?
“Nothing. I’m very happy, music has completely changed my life. Coming from nothing, from having nothing to having almost everything, it’s quite a transition. It has given me everything, on a material level but not only that, also on a personal satisfaction level. Then some unpleasant things come in retaliation.”
He is referring to his illness.
«Exactly, I suffer from diabetes. Life gives you joys and then finds a way to rebalance things. I lived it a little like that and it was the best thing.”
Did success help you overcome it?
«No, because the illness arrived when the success arrived. I was already 34 years old, at a time when I was working a lot. It’s not easy to manage, but I took it as a bit of a challenge and put it in my pocket. Today with diabetes you can live peacefully and do anything, you just have to be careful because you are more fragile.”
