Furiosa by George Miller was presented at CinemaCon, and judging by the first reactions the new chapter of the saga Mad Max injected a healthy dose of adrenaline into the audience in attendance.
In fact, during the event a long ‘summary’ film of the film was screened, which showed several chapters of Furiosa’s story: among these “The beginning of his odyssey”, “The awakening of the warrior” and “Ride into revenge”, the latter largely focused on the battle in which the protagonist – played by the beloved Anya Taylor Joy, who took Charlize Theron’s place to bring to life a younger version of the character introduced in Mad Max: Fury Road – tackles with Dementus, the new villain who will have the face of Chris Hemsworth.
In addition to showing the footage, the trio – George Miller, Anya Taylor Joy and Chris Hemsworth – took the stage to loud applause, and participated in a short Q&A alongside Warner Bros. Pictures bosses Pamela Abdy and Michael DeLuca.
We remember that Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga will be released in Italy on May 23rddistributed by Warner Bros: the film will be a prequel to Mad Max: Fury Road set about 15 years before the events of the action starring Tom Hardy and the odyssey of young Furiosa will follow who, kidnapped from the Green Place of Many Mothers when she was still a child, will travel with Dementus’ Biker Horde and come across Immortan Joe’s Citadel.
