Regarding a possible return to hosting the Sanremo Festival in 2025Conti stated: “If they ask me – or maybe they have already asked me – I will sit down and try to understand if I have the energy and the modern ear for choosing the songs and the cast.” Conti has already led three editions of the Festival between 2015 and 2017 and now the question arises whether he still has the right ear for song selection and whether he can continue on the path traced in previous years.
“Sanremo has changed,” Conti underlines, “we must continue on the path that I had inaugurated, continued with Baglioni and brought to the results seen with Amadeus. The musical choice in step with the times wins. And it’s not that obvious.” Regarding the current television season, Conti comments that there have been changes, confirmations and surprisesbut the public appreciates certainties.

While waiting to know if Carlo Conti will be the future host of the Festival, the man opened up about his culinary skills in an interview with TV Sorrisi e Canzonirevealing some funny and embarrassing anecdotes related to his cooking attempts. Regarding his experience in the kitchen, Conti jokes: “Are you kidding? I’m a mess in the kitchen. Once I invited Francesca to my house for dinner. We were engaged. I prepared a risotto that turned out so badly that we went to eat at the restaurant.”
Despite the numerous failures, Conti still proves optimistic and recounts another episode: “Years ago I was with friends in Pantelleria, I went fishing and I caught a lot of small fish perfect for soup. Mindful of a wonderful soup that my aunt from Livorno makes, I tried to make it again. Well, the cat didn’t want to eat it either…” However, Conti reveals that he has surprising cooking skillsAnd. “I know some things well,” he claims, “prepare a plate of ham and mozzarella. And be careful: I’m also good at fried eggs!”
