The planning process towards the next Serie A2 Elite championship has already started a few weeks ago at home New Taranto 5-a-side football. The company, vigilant on the market, has decided to renew the contract with Gianluca Bottiglione.
The winger, born in 1997, is returning from an exciting season, which ended with promotion to the second series: a goal achieved also thanks to the 19 goals scored by the player from the Ionian team, in addition to the countless assists provided to his teammates.
The leadership and character of captain Big bottle at the service of New Taranto also in the 2024/2025 season. An agreement reached in a very short time: «After spending seven years in this splendid company, it was almost obvious to accept the proposal again, if the opportunity arose. The club decided to believe in me again and I didn’t hesitate for a moment: I’m very happy to still wear the most beautiful colors in the world. The management has never made me lack anything, it is a wonderful environment of friendship and brotherhood. We have shared many joys and sorrows and society is grateful for this. I thank the Britannico family and president Malizia for the reconfirmation: it will be my eighth consecutive year. For me it is a source of pride and responsibility to wear this shirt, because on the pitch you are called upon to give twice as much as your teammates who come from other cities. I am called to set an example and make them understand that this city deserves so much: the shirt must be honoured, respected and sweated twice as much as the others. We people from Taranto are sanguine and we always want to give our best for this cause.”
Although New Taranto is newly promoted to Serie A2 Elite, the company’s and captain Bottiglione’s ambitions do not change, on the contrary: «We want to improve and do even better than the previous year. I want to contribute with goals and assists, because it’s the best way to help my teammates. The company’s project is a long-term project: it is no coincidence that we have climbed categories for three consecutive years.
