The history of Villa Bubani
The construction of the building probably dates back to the end of the 19th century. The villa and its surroundings are located in Santa Lucia 5, a few steps from the Osservanza theater and a short distance from the historic center.
Villa Bubani was purchased at the beginning of 2013 by the Cassa di Risparmio di Imola Foundation. The Villa Bubani complex consists of two buildings: the villa for residential use and a later building used as a service area and tool shed (the one that had to be demolished and resurrected as a Volunteer House).
It is an elegant and sober two-storey building which presents the typical characteristics of traditional Emilian architecture. On the first floor there is an arched French window that opens onto a small iron balcony supported by two dragon-shaped shelves. The internal paintings and iron decorations are in Liberty style and were created around 1930-1940.
