Syracuse, Rita Abela co-star of “Flaminia”: Michela Giraud’s first film

Enthusiasm, emotion and lots of positive energy. This can be seen in the eyes of Rita Abela, an actress from Syracuse, present in the cast of “Flaminia”, the first film directed by the actress and stand-up comedian Michela Giraud which will be released in theaters on April 11th.

The plot revolves around Flaminia De Angelis, a young woman who lives in the small glossy world of Northern Rome. Her life is completely revolutionized when Ludovica (Rita Abela), her autistic half-sister, returns home. Ludovica overwhelms Flaminia’s world and will then force her to look at her life in a more honest and profound way. The director was inspired by her sister Cristina, who is also on the autistic spectrum. In the cast Michela Giraud plays Flaminia whose parents are Antonello Fassari and Lucrezia Lante della Rovere, her boyfriend is Alberto (Edoardo Purgatori) and the film is also dedicated to Andrea Purgatori, who plays the role of the actor’s father. Other performers are Daniele Tinti, Fabrizio Colica, Saverio Raimondo and Nina Soldano.
