They are desperate housewives (not too desperate). And they tell the story of the life of the “Roman son-in-law” made up of parties in the attics of the historic center, friendships and rivalries in the exclusive sports clubs on the Tiber. Six wealthy ladies opened the doors of their homes in the TV series “The Real Housewives of Rome” (from Wednesday 1 May at 9.20pm on Real Time), showing the vices (and virtues?) of the Capitoline upper class.
But who are these angels of the hearth? There is Teresa Bolognese, attic in via del Babuino, lover of designer outfits which she matches with the collar of her Pomeranian; Anadela Serra Visconti, of noble origins, aesthetic doctor: there is no celebrity in Rome who doesn’t trust her touch-ups. And again: Nicoletta Ricca Benedettini lives between Cortina in the winter, Sardinia in the summer and Rome in the remaining months, in the Piazza di Spagna area; the «Ceciona upper class» (definition of the authors) and influencer, Flora Pellino and finally the Countess Camilla Ancilotto, artist of Scandinavian origins and the pierre Vanessa Ciampa, «mother with a sculptural physique». They are the ones who represent lives out of the ordinary. And if you think it’s just fiction, trust me: it’s pure reality.
