Taranto is back Jazz Festival, one of the usual events of the Taranto summer that will take place from 18 to 21 July at the Arena Villa Peripato in Taranto. An edition “experimental“, not only jazz, but which will touch on singer-songwriter music, blues, country and much more.
We start on Thursday 18 July with Chiara Civello, a Roman multi-instrumentalist.
On Friday 19th July, after the first edition of the festival, Tosca returns, this time in a sextet, ” ” is the name of the tour that celebrates her thirty-year career. A concert that will contain all the warmth and energy, bringing on stage songs already known alongside new ones.
On Saturday 20 July, for the first time in the city of Taranto, one of the most loved and discussed musicians on the Italian scene, Marco Castoldi aka Morgan, arrives. For the first time in the city of Taranto, Marco Castoldi aka Morgan, in concert alone at the piano which will pay homage to the great Italian singer-songwriters, as well as lots of classical music and pieces composed by him as well as his latest j’accuse “Broken”.
Closing on Sunday 21st July, an unexpected and musically curious guest: Joe Bastianich, known for the programme “Masterchef” but at the same time an eclectic musician who created the Neapolitan band La Terza Classe together.
