Scouts forever, they meet again after 40 years from the Parisian “camp”

They met again after 40 years to remember the Euro Jamboree in Paris, the first gathering of scouts in Europe better known as the Eurojam of the UIGSE – FSE. It was the summer of 1984 when the scouts of Fano, in particular the Aldebaran Nautical Department of Fano Group 1st San Pirusquin, participated in the Velles event, near Chateauroux. On the stubble fields of freshly harvested wheat in the French town, 5,700 scouts and guides (including 1,000 Italians) met from 15 to 28 July. “There were about thirty of us – says Samuele Bertini – all between 13 and 14 years old. For two weeks we were there with tents, in this wheat field with a quick trip to Notre Dame for a mass with all the participants”. It was July 25th, when in the cathedral of Paris, the Scouts of Europe consecrated themselves to the Virgin of the Annunciation. Everyone was present at the reunion the other day, including Arturo Busca who flew to Fano from Miami-Weston (Florida). Massimo Perugini, known as Ginki, could no longer be there, to whom a memorial mass was dedicated before lunch at the oratory of San Cristoforo: Giampaolo Mengucci, Marco Maria Siviero, Andrea Biagioni, Don Mauro Bargnesi, Claudio Bramucci, Luca Guerra, Federico de Sanctis, Christian Sartini, Giuseppe Berardi, Paolo Giacomoni, Andrea Toscani, Giovanni Orciani, Roberto Molo, Federico Bonazelli, Igor Sambuchi, Matteo Gentili, Simone Spinaci, Filippo Biagiotti, Matteo Paganucci, Federico Giommi, Stefano Schermi, Matteo Cavazzoni, Nicola Gaggi , Davide Frulla, Arturo Busca, Luca Cencioni, Francesco Uguccioni, Filippo Marinelli, Francesco Alegi and Samuele Bertini.
