In a few days it became the nightmare of shopkeepers and residents of the upper Padua area. Yesterday 29 June the Carabinieri of the Cittadella Company arrested MC, 27 years old, living in Cittadella, but effectively homeless. He was tracked down at the Brenta Carburanti service area by the Radiomobile soldiers who notified him of a precautionary custody order in prison issued by the judicial authority for repeated violations of the precautionary measure of the obligation to reside in the municipality of Cittadella. The suspect did not offer any resistance. He was accompanied to the barracks and at the end of the proceedings, taken to the Due Palazzi prison in Padua.

Troubles

On Wednesday evening 26 June the suspect turned the Cittadella area upside down, becoming the protagonist of thefts and attempted thefts. Inside a bookshop, after having broken down the entrance door, he removed 400 euros contained in the cash register. Arrested, he was notified of the ban on residence in Cittadella. The next day, the twenty-seven year old, regardless of the restriction, went to Arsego di San Giorgio delle Pertiche in via Tolomeo where he attempted to break the window of a hairdressing shop. Discovered by the residents, he gave up and fled before being tracked down shortly afterwards by a patrol of the Trebaseleghe military. The judicial authorities were made aware of his conduct and, before the man could commit episodes of violence not only towards things, but also towards people, they immediately signed the order. MC’s story was followed in real time by the mayor of Cittadella Luca Pierobon who explained how the Municipality tried to help the boy in every way, without however managing to bring him back into legality.
