Yesterday morning, Saturday 29 June, at the council chamber of Casamicciola, the painter Antonio Isabettini and the councillor of the municipality of Pozzuoli Vittorio Festa delivered a painting, a gift from the Pozzuoli administration, to the president of the Casamicciola municipal council Gianfranco Mattera and to a representative of the municipal administration.

The painting depicts the scene of the rescue of Pasquale, the seven-month-old baby who was trapped under the rubble of his house which collapsed in the earthquake of 21 August 2017 and was saved by rescuers after several hours of digging.

An image that symbolizes hope and rebirth, concepts that ideally unite the island municipality and the Phlegraean city, which find themselves having to face the uncertainties and difficulties of dealing with the consequences of phenomena such as bradyseism and earthquakes.

Subsequently, Mayor Giosi Ferrandino, in the presence of Commissioner Legnini, inaugurated in Piazza Bagni the plaque dedicated to the Mud Angels and the play area of the gardens, with equipment donated to the municipality by the Volunteer Service Center of the Province of Salerno Sodalis thanks to the collection carried out by the Goodify Benefit Company and to the interest of the Casamicciola Viva association
