Yesterday, the Carabinieri Company Command of Salsomaggiore Terme deployed a reinforced force of men and vehicles from the jurisdiction’s territory. A further 6 patrols from the Carabinieri Station of the spa resort, assisted by personnel in civilian clothes from the Operations and Radiomobile Unit, and by personnel from the Labor Inspectorate Unit and the NAS of Parma, carried out sweeping checks throughout the jurisdiction.
The checks carried out with the help of personnel from the Special Departments (NIL and NAS) involved some accommodation facilities located in the central area of the spa town, at the end of which no irregularities were recorded.
The control was also extended to the market area of via Pascoli, the Mazzini park, the railway station area and the commercial area for the prevention of any form of crime.
The checks also involved the hamlet of Tabiano Bagni, with particular reference to the refugee reception facilities.
Inspections of parks and the most frequented city areas made it possible to identify and report to the Prefecture of Parma three people, aged between 25 and 32, found to be in possession of small quantities of psychotropic substances as drug users. For everyone, an administrative procedure of periodic checks will be opened, aimed at discouraging drug consumption.
During the service, the Carabinieri of the Salsomaggiore Terme Company checked 23 cars and 53 people, as well as all the subjects subjected to the house arrest regime or security measures issued by the competent AG.
