“Amicidivalerio”, Croatia wins (in comeback) the second gabion tournament

The second gabion tournament concluded on the evening of Sunday 30 June “Friends of Valerio” staged in the last two weeks played between the Bagni Lido and the Onde del Tirreno Beach with a splendid audience.
The boys who played in the final, in the cage of the ex Peiani, showed up for the occasion on board a boat that left from the Ardenza pier complete with smoke bombs that accompanied them to the entrance of the “cage”.
The team that won was the Croatia who beat a distance Belgium who had closed the first half ahead by two goals. Third Ukraine, fourth the Poland.
These are the names of the winners: Ettore Saccomanni, Davide Musmeci, Emiliano Potestá, Mattia Laverde, Leonardo Cammellini.
These were the heroes of the evening, even if the real heroes as Manuela Magri, president of the association, said “AmicodiValerio Aps” of the Livorno section (which deals with research and assistance to children with brain oncological pathologies at the Meyer pediatric hospital in Florence), were all 80 children who took to the field to play a tournament in the name of solidarity.
We remember that Friend of Valerio APSis an association created in 2011 in memory of Valerio Pisano, aims to finance scientific research against childhood brain tumors through fundraising and donations.
