Change at the top of Confagricoltura Veneto. The association’s management will be entrusted to Paduan Renzo Cavestrowho will take the place of Massimo Chiarelli, who has returned to full-time management of Confagricoltura Rovigo.
The handover is set for July 1st in the regional headquarters of the organization, in via Monteverdi in Venezia Mestre. Graduated in Agriculture, 63 years old, from Anguillara Veneta, Cavestro boasts considerable experience as the historic director of Confagricoltura Padova. “I thank Massimo Chiarelli for the excellent work done in recent years – underlines Cavestro – A challenging but very stimulating task awaits me. I thank the president Lodovico Giustiniani and the entire board of Confagricoltura Veneto for the trust placed in me. I hope not to disappoint expectations, with the knowledge that for the agricultural sector the regional context constitutes an important reference for many policies: from the use of European funds for rural development to the protection of the territory and the environment; from work to training”.
Confagricoltura associates 13,000 agricultural companies in Veneto“in which – explains Cavestro – a new class of agricultural entrepreneurs emerges, competent and evolved, including many young people and women interested in innovation and sustainability. It is on these two fronts, innovation and sustainability, that the association will have to provide answers, collaborating with the bodies and institutions: the Region first and foremost, the Regional Agency for Payments Avepa, the land reclamation consortia, cooperation and the agri-food system. First objective: to simplify the life of agricultural businesses and provide them with more tools to invest and grow”.
