It seems like science fiction, but there is a real possibility that there will be two football clubs that will bear the Ancona name starting next week. One is the one that Francesco Agnello took over from Tony Tiong in the transfer of the shares of The Dream which also controls 95% of the capital of Ancona (the Canil shares will be sold and therefore it will become 100% for the Campania entrepreneur and his associates). The other Ancona could be the one that emerges from the Municipality’s announcement, the envelopes of which will only be opened on Monday morning. If the two sides do not come into contact with each other, which at the moment seems evident, there will be two Anconas. Each will continue on its own path and paradoxically both will ask for supernumerary registration in the D series. But which of the two will have the right accreditation to be able to register for the championship? Having a clear answer right now is impossible. According to the Municipality, the only club accredited to represent the name of Ancona in football is the one that will exit the tender, as foreseen by the procedure also dictated by the president of the federation Gravina. According to the lawyers and advisor of Agnello’s company, regardless of the tender, they are the ones who have the registration number in their hands. Paragraph 1 of article 52 of the Noif provides for the accreditation of the freshman and at this moment the only one existing and alive is that of Us Ancona 1905. The scenario is surreal but not impossible. There could be two companies that move forward without looking at each other. Unless someone, from a political seat, decides to have the parties meet in Canossa to reach an agreement. Because the ultimate goal, let it never be forgotten, must be to do the good of Ancona and the city of Ancona. Something that is easy to talk about, but much less so with facts (and history unfortunately teaches us).
