As is tradition, the weekend of the 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps was the occasion to reveal the calendar for the next season of the GT World Challenge Europe. The 2025 championship will consist of ten events in total, split equally between the Endurance Cup and Sprint Cup series. It was Stephane Ratel, founder and CEO of SRO Motorsport Group, who presented the future of the category.
Just like this year, Paul Ricard will kick off the 2025 season. The French circuit will first host the Prologue, on March 10 and 11, and then the opening race of the Endurance Cup the following month. The Sprint series will kick off in England at Brands Hatch, on the weekend of May 4, followed two weeks later by the Zandvoort round, which will make its return after a sabbatical year.
The first Sunday of June will be Monza’s turn. The race that will take place in the Temple of Speed, valid for the Endurance series, will be an appetizer for the 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps, confirmed for the end of June. In July, the GT World Challenge will return to Italy again, but this time to Misano for the Sprint stage, taking place from 18 to 20 July. After the summer break, the championship will resume with the Endurance series and the Nürburgring race scheduled for the end of August.
The race will head to Spain for the double date of Valencia and Barcelona. Both valid for the Sprint series, the circuit named after Ricardo Tormo will host the GT3 cars on the weekend of September 21, while Montmelò will close the season on October 12. The final race of the Endurance Cup is still to be defined but two dates have been optioned, October 26 or November 22. As confirmed directly by Ratel, the last date of 2025 will be decided based on how the Jeddah event goes this year, if the Saudi Arabia stage is not confirmed, a replacement event will be found in Europe.
