Arrested for mistreatment in the family and aggravated injuries towards the mother. A 43-year-old man from Andria was reported after the umpteenth attack on the 60-year-old woman who called 113 for help. The police immediately arrived at the home of the two and secured the victim. The woman was subjected to “a harassing and violent lifestyle, with repeated physical and verbal aggression”, the officers report. According to what the 60-year-old said, her son, who suffers from psychiatric disorders, used to attack her without a specific reason. Threats, violence and insults had become habitual since last year, creating a state of psychological tension and fear in the victim. The 43-year-old is in prison in Trani.
