LECCE – While returning home from a club, she crashes into two road signs: a lawyer from Lecce, candidate in the last Lecce electoral round on the “Io Sud” list in support of the current mayor Adriana Poli Bortone, loses her life. The victim of the road accident, which occurred last night in the city near the road that connects Torre Chianca to Lecce, is Simona Blago, 53 years old just the day before.
The professional was driving her car when, for reasons still under investigation and near the roundabout in via Stefano Salvemini, she lost control of her Citroen C3. After the sudden skid, she crashed it into the pylons a few minutes before one in the morning without involving other vehicles. The two road signs were partially damaged in the impact and the 53-year-old unfortunately died instantly. The assistance provided by the 118 operators, who arrived at the request of passers-by and residents who heard a violent thud, was useless.
The woman’s body was transferred to the mortuary of the “Vito Fazzi” hospital in Lecce, pending orders from the judicial authorities. The coroner will carry out an external inspection to try to trace the cause of death and establish whether there may have been an illness before the fatal maneuver. The findings were carried out by the Lecce traffic police officers and their colleagues on duty at the police headquarters.

I would have liked to celebrate with her a victory that she wanted so much and for which she worked hard, always giving herself. I don’t know if we will have the desire to celebrate anymore, she would certainly tell us to do it for her too because every moment must be celebrated and shared and nothing can cloud the joy of living. Well Simona, today we don’t have all this desire to be sunny.
