UDINE. The State Police of Udine, on the morning of Tuesday 25 June, arrested and reported to the judicial authorities two Moroccan citizensone aged 28 and the other aged 35, seriously suspected of the crime of improper robbery against a young womanresident in this capital.

As part of the daily control of the territory aimed at the prevention and repression of crimes, personnel of the Flying Squad of the Udine police station, passing through Viale Trieste, spotted two foreign subjects who, having taken possession of a scooter parked outside a public business in the area, they were trying to escape.

At that time, the officers also noticed a woman who, having noticed that her scooter had been stolen, was trying to prevent it from being stolen, facing one of the two men with no small courage.

The workers promptly went to the scene and blocked the two subjects, at a distance of a few metres, who, upon seeing the officers, had attempted to split up and flee. They provided assistance to the young woman who, in an attempt to block one of the two men, fell to the ground, causing minor injuries.

At the time of control and identification, one of the two foreigners assumed a uncooperative and aggressive attitude towards the workers, who were forced to resort to the immediate application of the foreseen containment devices.

The two were then taken to the police station and subjected to photo-fingerprint tests. Other staff who arrived on site accompanied the young woman to the police station filed a formal complaint against the two foreigners and regained possession of his scooter, worth approximately 300 euros.

Given the serious indications of crime that had emerged against the two men, they therefore came referred to the judicial authority under arrest for the crime of improper robbery, as well as released in a state of freedom for the crime of resistance and for the violation of the measure of the ban on return to this capital.

On the morning of Friday 28 June, the preliminary investigations judge ordered the application of the measure of precautionary custody in prison for the facts described above.
