Con 5 billion and 619 million euros spent on durable goods in 2023, Tuscany ranks sixth among the twenty regions that purchased the most, but the best data is the growth: +11% is the record in Italy, above the national average of +8, 9% as detected by the 30th edition of the Findomestic Observatory created in collaboration with Prometeia. At the provincial level, the most significant increase in consumption was recorded in Florence (+13%, 1 billion and 593 million euros). Pisa, Lucca, Pistoia and Prato also performed well, all provinces with variations equal to or greater than 11%. Lucca is the sixth province in Italy in terms of expenditure per family.

As reported by the Findomestic observatory, in the province of Lucca, each family spent an average of 3,484 euros on durable goods (+11%): the third highest figure in Tuscany, behind Florence and Pisa, ed it is sixth in the ranking of the 107 Italian provinces. According to the Findomestic Observatory, overall consumption in Lucca reached a total of 599 million euros with an 11% growth compared to the previous year.

The people of Lucca have dedicated a large part of their resources to the manufacturing sector mobility: they purchased new cars for a total of 192 million against 156 in 2022, with a +23.6% which is higher than the Italian average of +19.5%; they then purchased used cars for 141 million euros (vs 118 in 2022) at +19.4%. For motorcycles, 23 million euros were spent, with an increase of 26.9% which is the second highest in all of Tuscany. In household goods, the most important market is furniture, for which the people of Lucca spent an average of 731 euros with a total of 126 million euros (+0.7%). Purchases of household appliances also increased, going from 42 million in 2022 to 44 in 2023 (+4.1%). Telephony fell, albeit slightly: -2.7% to 41 million euros. The most significant declines were recorded in the consumer electronics sector (-28.6% in line with the national figure, 14 million) and information technology (-4.8%, 17 million euros).
