It was startediter for the concession of the Leopolda Station service to Patrimonio Pisathe society in house of the Municipality which, as decided by the municipal administration, will have the task of purchasing some municipal properties to enhance them through the organization of events.
A path strongly contested by the opposition, including Diritti in Comune of the group leader Ciccio Auletta. “The Conti Council is continuing the path of decommissioning of the Leopolda station after closing iteffectively expelling the associative project that has managed it for years – he explained – this is what emerged thanks to the interpellation discussed in the penultimate City Council. We also know that last Tuesday (June 25, ed) the Board has approved a policy document with which it gives the competent manager the mandate to start the procedure for the concession”.
“To date, therefore, there is no formal act that attributes ownership of the space to Patrimonio Pisawhich is still in the full and sole possession of the Municipality – he added – however, in recent days Patrimonio Pisa has sent to the associations that have carried out their activities within the Leopolda, through mailan invitation to a discussion table between the Municipality and the same associations on July 12th. In what capacity does Patrimonio Pisa write to the associations? and do you act as an intermediary for the Municipality of Pisa for the organization of meetings?”
“This is an unheard of fact that demonstrates how the Conti Council treats public property as a private matter – he concluded – bypassing even the normal administrative procedures. In light of all this, we relaunch the urgency and need for a major public, transparent and strong dispute against the private management of public spaces conducted by the right: it is not just about Leopolda but also about the former Stallette, the Arsenali Repubblicani, the Parco della Cittadella and the Vecchi Macelli”.
