ROVIGO – On the afternoon of Friday 28 June, at the headquarters of the command of the Rovigo firefighters, a meeting was held aimed at presenting the operational activities planned for the start of the summer forest firefighting campaign of the various components of the Civil Protection System.
The commander, Eng. Claudio Fortucci, coordinated the exchange of information between the various subjects involved: the president of the Veneto regional park body of the Po Delta, the vice mayor of the Municipality of Rosolina (area where the seasonal rural garrison of the Porto Caleri fire brigade is based), the personnel of the Interregional Directorate of the fire brigade of Veneto and Trentino-Alto Adige, of the forestry carabinieri, of the operational unit of the regional forestry services of the Veneto Region, of Suem 118, of the green cross of Adria, of the civil protection volunteers – nucleus Aib of Adria and the forestry workers of Veneto Agricoltura.
The meeting allowed to define useful operational details, in order to guarantee a rapid and effective action in the field of forest fire prevention. Furthermore, thanks to the specific skills of the Tas (Topography Applied to Rescue) personnel of the command, the geographical knowledge implemented on a specific geoportal was shared, in order to optimize the management of Aib interventions, in particular in the coastal pine forests of the provincial territory.
