The train station of Châteaubourg, between Vitré and Rennes, has been under construction for some time. We now know that it will host a coffee shop under the aegis ofEric Maignantwhich has just set up its Brûlerie du Castel in Plessis Beuscher.
Opening in February or March 2025
Eric Maignant invested Châteaubourg. After his Brûlerie du Castel, he is also eyeing a currently unoccupied building in the heart of downtown Châteaubourg: the station building. Here, Eric is going to set up a coffee shop.
If all goes well, it could open in February or March 2025. He tells us a little more: “There will be a catering area where we will offer two starters, two main courses and two desserts. We want to offer quality with a maximum of local products. We will have a catering room 25-30 people and next door, a boutique space where we will sell our coffee and tea products and also Clémentine’s cookies.
Tasting tour
The boss of Brûlerie du Castel also plans to install a machine outside so that the public can have access to the products even when the coffee shop is closed.
» Ultimately, we would like to organize a tasting circuit for the public. Show the production side before going to the coffee shop to taste the products,” the boss already imagines.
As a reminder, the Brûlerie du Castel is open to the public Monday July 1 and a small catering area will also be available from July 15, 2024.
