A world that exalts creative passion from North to South: from crochet to ceramics, from embroidery to home decor and, again, from paper patterns to DIY fashion. “Abilmente”, the Italian Exhibition Group (IEG) show dedicated to the community of Do It Yourself enthusiasts, announces the dates of the second cycle of events in 2024: after the spring editions, the event is preparing to return to Rome, Turin, Vicenza and Milan for an autumn dedicated to fantasy for an audience of all ages.
The stages will begin in the capital, from 19 to 22 September at the Fiera di Roma. Abilmente will then continue to Turin, from 26 to 29 September at Lingotto Fiere, before moving to Vicenza, from 17 to 20 October in the Vicenza exhibition centre, and finally arriving in Milan, from 24 to 27 October at Superstudio Maxi.
A unique proposal on the national territory, which arises from IEG’s commitment to offer opportunities for exchange, meeting and growth on a macro-regional scale for the public of creative do-it-yourself enthusiasts. Skillfully explores all facets of Do It Yourself, a world that is constantly evolving and expanding. According to research by GKF, the number of Italians interested in creating with their hands is increasing: as many as 58% of the population over 14 years of age dedicate themselves to do-it-yourself activities. Of these, 37% deal with normal home repairs, while 30% love to dedicate themselves to actual creation, construction and ideation activities (2023 data).
With its eight annual editions, Abilmente is recognized by the community as the nerve center of this passion. In view of the autumn editions, the event increases its offering of courses, the beating heart of each event, alongside the large assortment of products and materials selected by the best Italian and international exhibitors.
