The commitment of the municipal administration of Busto Arsizio in the recovery of properties confiscated from organized crime continues. After the premises of the former pizzeria in via Quintino Sella, the first important recovery project with social purposes implemented in the city, other interventions are now planned for two properties confiscated from the mafia in past years. One is located in via Amalfi 8 and requires an investment of approximately 230 thousand euros, the other in viale Diaz 10 for an expense of 31 thousand euros. The resources allocated by the Lombardy Region are fundamental, which has assigned contributions for the two interventions, respectively, of 97 thousand and 14 thousand euros, in total over 110 thousand euros, definitely an important contribution for the municipal coffers. It should be emphasized that the Lombardy Region has also planned for the year 2024 the provision of contributions for the recovery and use for social or even institutional purposes of the real estate confiscated from organized crime, the municipality of Busto Arsizio has requested it, the request was accepted therefore the funds are there. On the proposal of the councilor for Inclusion Paola Reguzzoni, just the other day the council took note of the assignment by the Lombardy Region with a decree of the General Directorate for Security and Civil Protection of contributions for the recovery of two confiscated properties. As regards the recovery intervention in via Amalfi, the administration is still responsible for 130 thousand euros, for the property in viale Diaz 17. 371 thousand euros.
