Over 7,000 people admired the “Grand Depart” Trophy at the Grattacielo Piemonte

During the 12 days on display in the atrium of the Skyscraper the trophy was seen by over 7,000 people who reached the regional headquarters to admire up close the prestigious award created in 2013 on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Tour de France. The many who immortalized the unique moment with photos and selfies were given free gadgets such as bracelets and bandanas personalized with the Tour and Region logos.

The host community of the Grand Depart 2024 (Emilia-Romagna Region, Metropolitan City of Florence, Piedmont Region and City of Turin) collected the trophy last July, in Paris, on the Champs Elysées, at the end of the last stage of Tour de France n 110, from the hands of the representatives of the Basque Country. Florence kept and administered it until last March 21st to officially deliver it the following day to the Emilia-Romagna Region. The prize reached Piedmont on June 10th and was exhibited at the Grattacielo della Regione on June 14th and from June 17th to 27th before passing into the hands of the City of Turin which will display it at Palazzo Madama from June 28th to 30th. On July 21st it will finally arrive in Nice, on the occasion of the conclusion of Tour de France number 111, thus definitively leaving Italy in view of the Grand Depart 2025.
