“This morning, once again, personnel from the Salerno Municipal Police and Salerno Pulita have carried out intense checks to verify the correct disposal of waste in the city”. This was reported by the General Secretary of Fp Cgil Antonio Capezzuto who continues: “Unfortunately, the persistence of a certain number of citizens and traders who continue to use Thursday evenings to dispose of all types of waste, and therefore without carrying out correct separate waste collection during the entire week, is confirmed.
It is unacceptable that there are still pockets of resistance that systematically try to bring the city to its knees, disregarding every minimum rule of civil life. If we talk about the decorum of our streets, we should start with what happens with the indiscriminate abandonment of waste on Thursday nights. These citizens must be reminded that the non-differentiable fraction is the one that has the greatest impact on disposal costs and therefore on the TARI, to the detriment of those who civilly carry out their role as citizens of a community.
Furthermore, poor disposal affects the pace of collection on Friday morning and the workload of employees, who are forced to collect bags of disproportionate dimensions.
The Municipal Police and Salerno Pulita operators, who are often the subject of fierce criticism on social media, should instead be thanked for the widespread and sacrificial work that they continue to carry out on the territory, to protect compliance with the rules and the decorum of the city”, concludes Capezzuto.
