It was Sergio Meris who won the first stage victory yesterday Tour of Veneto 2024, from which the prologue and the first part were taken away due to the weather. Here are the details of stage number 3, which will take place between the provinces of Vicenza and Treviso.
Path
The stage will start from Romano d’Ezzelino to head straight for the mountains. There will be three GPMs right away: Dante’s Hill, Col Roigoe Madonna of the Water. Then the great climb up to will begin Grappa Crespano. The descent will lead to the flying finish line of Possagno and to that of Cornuda after several kilometers. From the finish line interlap of Arcade the route will be all flat and after Porcellengo you will pass under the finish line to enter a 10.3 kilometre circuit Saint AmbroseThe finish line is at Badoerefraction of Morgano.
Favorites
A route like this suggests that, given that the altitude difficulties are all in the first part of the race, a compact group will arrive in a sprint at the finish line. An opportunity therefore for fast wheels who know how to handle climbs without getting too tired. It can be a good stop for Riccardo Paraniper Nicholas Rossi or for Samuel Forty. Also pay attention to Simone Carrò which could be the surprise of this stage.
