In the month of July, summer opening hours will begin for the municipal libraries of Piacenza. The Passerini-Landi headquarters, in via Carducci 14, will be open on Mondays (with the exception of July 1st, when closure is expected due to the passage of the Tour de France) from 2pm to 7pm, from Tuesday to Friday from 9am to 7pm and on Saturdays from 9am to 1pm. The Giana Anguissola Children’s Library will be open in the morning, from Tuesday to Saturday, from 9am to 1pm and in the afternoon, from Tuesday to Thursday, from 3pm to 7pm.

As regards the decentralized branches – which will not suffer any limitations on the occasion of the Piacenza stage of the Tour – the Dante library will open every morning, from Monday to Friday, from 9am to 1pm and will operate in the afternoon, from 3pm to 7pm, in Tuesday, Thursday and Friday days. The Farnesiana library, in the Galleria del Sole, will be open every morning from Monday to Friday from 9am to 1pm and on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons from 3pm to 7pm. The Besurica library, in via Perfetti, will be open in the mornings on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 9am to 1pm and on Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons from 3pm to 7pm. On Thursday 4 July, on the occasion of the patronal feast of Sant’Antonino, all municipal libraries will be closed. The study rooms in via Roma, which are used jointly by the library and the parish of S. Pietro, will be closed to the public on Sunday 30 June to allow the holding of a parish event and on Monday 1 July always coinciding with the passage of the Tour de France. The study rooms will observe the usual opening hours in the remaining days of July (Monday: 9-12; Sunday: 9-12, 15-18).
