AVERSA – “We are experiencing a great transition from a professional point of view because ordinary subjects are increasingly decreasing in terms of profitability, while it is necessary to explore new areas of expertise where there is ample room for growth. We look at professional aggregations with extreme interest, as useful tools to cover this wide range of new opportunities”. This was stated Giancarlo FalcoPresident ofUnion of young accountants and accounting experts from Naples North during the General Assembly of members which took place in Aversa on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the Union, which was also attended by the new mayor of Aversa, Francesco Matacena.

“We believe that technological innovation – added Falco – is of great help to professionals and we do not believe that AI is a threat but rather a support to free oneself from a series of unprofitable activities in favor of the development of new activities”.

He expressed his opinion on the future of the profession Carlo de Luca (national secretary of young accountants): “Without a doubt the profession is changing and the ‘all-rounder’ accountant no longer exists. Today it is necessary to focus on specializations, partnerships, networking and obviously on digitalization and artificial intelligence. Tools that can have an important impact on our work which is increasingly central, especially within companies, without forgetting the fundamental social function of our activity as true ‘sentinels’ of legality”.

On the same line Carolina Rumboldt (UNGDCEC national council): “We find ourselves in a new era. For us professionals and for businesses, digitalisation and artificial intelligence are opportunities for new development and must be used in the best possible way. It is necessary to continue the simplification process which, in light of technological innovations, can no longer be postponed for professionals and companies”. Chiara Nicoletta Matacena (coordinator of Campania and Molise of the Ugdcec) spoke about sustainability: “Accountants are at the forefront of economic development and sustainability to respond to the needs of the market. Specializations must be one of the strengths of professionals, so they will be able to be appreciated for the added value they are able to bring to the working context in which they operate”.
