A black Sunday just passed in Brescia, marked by two tragic accidents in which two young people lost their lives.
Two tragic accidents in the space of a few hours
A few hours after the fatal crash in which 27-year-old Marica Avanzi from Gavardo lost her life, a second tragic accident occurred near Lake Valvestino, along the Sp9: one of the victims lost her life Luca Guastalla28 year old motorcyclist.
The young man, originally from the province of Como, from Fino Mornasco to be precise, according to initial reconstructions, appears to have been descending from Valvestino towards Gargnano. Ahead of him, a little further ahead, was his brother on another motorbike. For reasons yet to be verified in detail, the 28-year-old apparently lost control of the motorbike at a bend and, after colliding with his brother’s motorbike, hit the guardrail. The impact was violent: the motorbike remained on the edge of the road while the 28-year-old fell off a cliff towards the lake.
Tragic motorcycle crash: the rescue
An ambulance and the Alpine rescue team intervened promptly on site, and the helicopter rescue team also took flight. The Highway Police, the local police and the fire brigade were also present. The operations to recover the young man’s body were very difficult, and the recovery only took place around 1:30 PM.
