Legnano – The last match of his career two great basketball players like Bruno Cerella and Tommaso Marino means big party.
In a perfect American playground climate, complete with rap music in the background, today June 27th at playground in Legnano located inside the Falcone e Borsellino park a sports morning was held. The two athletes created a dbasketball demonstration together with the Knights Legnano boys, waiting for this evening’s match scheduled at PalaBorsani.
A Cerella-Marino Day in the name of basketball but not only: in fact also present as references of their association Slums Dunk, which together with the two is the protagonist of social events.
“The objective of the association – say Cerella and Marino themselves – it is bringing services and integration to places where this does not happen. Through sport we can talk about sport but not only. It is an ambitious but now sustainable project, which has been working for over 12 years, talking about education, health, with the basketball court which unites all the kids but which also creates the right conditions for inclusion and sharing”. It is therefore a reality of support for various critical situations in a very broad panorama, which does not only look at the local or national. In fact, they were present on four continents. The next appointment will be in Cambodia, where in about 10 days Cerella will go as spokesperson and representative of the association, with the work on site having been progressing for some time. Then Kenya and Zambia.
The fulcrum of the day is still awaited however, with the celebrity match scheduled for this evening which will end the day on a high note. Match that will be played in the Legnano Knights arena, near the Slums Dunk pitch, where the Team Bruno and Team Tommy they will compete in a regular match, with many guests, such as players from the recent history of Italian basketball, both former teammates and friends.
