In the next edition of “Sanremo Giovani” – the first of the new course of Carlo Conti (the fourth under his belt, however) – everything will be “faster and leaner”, starting from the numbers. In particular, the age of participation has been reduced, which will range from 16 to 26 years of age. In the first phase, the artistic director and the musical commission, chaired by him, will be involved in listening to all the songs presented, in compliance with the participation requirements, to arrive at a list of at least 40 artists; then, the live auditions at the headquarters in via Asiago in Rome, to reach a total of 24 young talents.
From November 12th the actual competition will begin with the traditional challenges: for four second evenings on Rai 2 (12, 19, 26 November and 3 December) 6 artists will perform their songs live but only 3 of them will pass the round, judged also in this case by the Music Commission. The 12 selected will enter the semi-final on 10 December, also broadcast in the late evening on Rai 2, which, through the mechanism of direct challenges, will be reduced to 6: these 6 ‘finalists’ will be joined by 2 artists from the “Area Sanremo” selected by the Rai Music Commission. At this point everything will be ready for the final exam on December 18th in prime time on Rai 1, live from the Sanremo Casino: 8 potential ‘New Proposals’ to take the field to win the right to perform in February during “Sanremo 2025”, but only 4 of them (3 from “Sanremo Giovani” and 1 from “Area Sanremo”) will manage to land on the stage of the Ariston Theater for Sanremo 75, from 4 to 8 February.

In the final of Sanremo Giovani, the evaluation of the competing artists will be entrusted to a Musical Commission and, through Televoting, to the public: each with a weight of 50 percent. The complete Regulations of the event are available on the portal www.sanremo.rai.it from today, Thursday 27 June. Registrations will open from 16:00 on 10 July and will close on 8 October.
