Corso Verona, new cycle path: connects the Northern Area to the Campus

The new cycle path in Corso Verona, in Borgo Rossini, was inaugurated this morning in Turin at 10am.. It is a double track, on one side and the other of the road, which extends over a long stretch 500 meters. The work cost 900 thousand eurosreact funds. This sum includes a series of interventions carried out on the two side platforms. The new route It acts as a link between the North area and the university campus area.


The inauguration was attended by the councilor for Roads, Chiara Foglietta, the president of the District 7, Luca Deri, the coordinators Giuseppe Piras and Nando D’Apice. With them some representatives of the Fiab (Italian Federation of Environment and Bicycle) and several dozen summer youths from the area, coordinated by the associations Saf Athletics and Amece.

Along that stretch of Corso Verona, on the platforms, next to the two new sections of cycle path, create long green flowerbeds. They were also planted twenty trees and the parking spaces have been revised, in line and no longer in a herringbone pattern. New pedestrian crossings have been added along the road, with paths dedicated to the blind. Furthermore, architectural barriers have been removed.
