CREMA – Filiberto Fayer, president of the Crema Rotary club, has passed the baton to Antonio Grassi, his successor.
It was a ceremony marked by simplicity, but at the same time rich in meaning. The outgoing president thanked the board of directors who supported him during his presidency.
«One year – underlined Fayer – dI’m full of appointments. A commitment that can only be achieved with team work and the support of the entire club. It hasn’t been a particularly easy year for me. I was struck by one thing: the closeness and presence that you friends showed me were exceptional and of great help”
Then Fayer recalled when he became president last year. «I said that it would be a year marked by friendship with the arrival of friends from Salon and the convivial moments that distinguish us. I must admit that your friendship has gone far beyond this level».
Fayer concluded. «This is a special club. Individual members with their individuality and particularities do nothing but enrich our club, making it unique”
Then Grassi spoke. He thanked the members for having proposed him as president.
«I take – he specified – ithe baton of a relay that I will try to hand over to the next competitor with the hope of running at least like those who preceded me. Three words I have in mind. Pride, fear and confidence. Proud of the role I will take on. Fearful for fear of not disappointing. I’m sure that my commitment will be maximum”
Fayer put the president’s pin on Grassi and passed him the necklace that is handed down every changing of the guard.
