In 2020, she was involved in Operation Fats Car, conducted in the Reggio Emilia area against numerous people belonging to a group permanently dedicated to committing crimes relating to drug dealing, as well as illegal possession of firearms. An investigation, conducted by the Carabinieri of the Castelnovo Monti operational unit, which had taken its cue from the arrest in Reggio Emilia, in December 2019, of an Italian man found in possession of 30 grams of cocaine and cash.
From the meticulous analysis of the connections and relationships maintained by the arrested person with various individuals attested in the province of Reggio Emilia, and from the consequent assiduous info-investigative monitoring of the criminal network that has gradually emerged, the picture has emerged of a partnership which, although mainly focused on drugs, he did not disdain incursions into other relevant criminal trafficking. The investigations allowed the operators, during the work, to proceed with the arrest in flagrante delicto or on arrest orders of a further 6 people, including today’s suspect, in confirmation of the investigative activity undertaken, as well as the seizure of over 150 grams of cocaine.
The incident, which had seen the arrest of the woman, culminated in the final sentence of 2 years, 8 months of imprisonment plus a fine of 15,000 euros. Conviction to which were added the 2-year sentences for fraudulent transfer of assets (crimes committed in 2017 and 2018 between the provinces of Reggio Emilia and Parma) and two sentences for tax evasion (dating back to November 2020) for 8 and 2 months imprisonment. For these reasons, the Criminal Enforcement Office of the Public Prosecutor’s Office at the Court of Reggio Emilia issued a restrictive provision for cumulation of sentences, which was carried out by the Carabinieri of the operational and mobile radio unit of Castelnovoné Monti.
Yesterday morning the woman, at the height of laborious searches and being effectively homeless, was tracked down by the carabinieri of the mobile radio operations unit of the Castelnovoné Monti company. The woman was first taken to the barracks and, after the formalities, to the prison in the capital of Reggio Emilia. After deducting the pre-sufficiency period, the woman will have to serve 4 years, 10 months and 29 days in prison.
