Fiumicino – The Municipality of Fiumicino has approved the budget change necessary for the allocation of funds for extraordinary maintenance, plant adaptation and improvement of accessibility and use of the Saxophone Museum.
“The Administration of Fiumicino participated in the tender with a positive outcome, achieving considerable success and we are proud to be able to start this project on which we have worked throughout the first year of our mandate.
An initiative that will not only improve the accessibility and use of the Saxophone Museum, but will also contribute to the enhancement of our cultural heritage,” declared the Councilor for Public Works, Giovanna Onorati.
“An important step forward for our city which will make the museum more welcoming and safe for all visitors. The resolution, presented in the commission, will be evaluated during the next City Council meeting scheduled for June 28, 2024.”
The intervention, for a total cost of €236,590.00 was included in the Public Notice for the valorization of the Cultural Places of Lazio.
It allowed the submission of financing requests forOrdinary and extraordinary maintenance interventions, improvement of accessibility for people with disabilities, setting up of exhibition spaces, development of digital technologies for cultural enjoyment and installation of video surveillance, anti-intrusion and fire prevention systems.
There Lazio regionAMP approved the ranking of admitted projects including the works for the Saxophone Museum” with a contribution of €189,272.00, equal to 80% of the total cost; the remaining 20%, equal to €47,318.00, will be covered by municipal funds.
