Since yesterday Andrew Virgil is officially the mayor of Cremona. The seats in the City Council have also been assigned (read here). Obviously now all eyes are on the Palace for the composition of the new mayor’s team. The tam tam in these days is intense, between rumors of reconfirmations and new entries. Andrea Virgilio says that he will listen to everyone but then the choice will be his. Of the old Galimberti team according to well-informed sources the only two reconfirmations would be those of Luca Zanacchi (listed with Fare Nuova) e Luca Burgazzi (Pd) also thanks to his preferences. With which departments we still don’t know. It also filters out from the Palace that there would be a review of assignments with the abandonment of some old names and delegations. For Zanacchi, however, the delegations to Sport and Neighborhoods would remain but as regards greenery, he could be merged with the new Department of the Environment which would be created to respond to one of the great Cremonese emergencies. Among the names for this new department would be Alberto Federico Pasqualini, entrepreneur in the environmental and renewable energy sectors listed with the civic list “Cremona sei tu” wanted by Luciano Pizzetti. The former city councilor could replace Barbara Manfredini with the responsibility for Security and the Urban Police Holy Channel very active in the electoral campaign to support Andrea Virgilio and always alongside Luciano Pizzetti. Obviously you look at Luca Burgazzi as regards the Department of Culture but also in this case there would be a reshuffling of the delegations with the intention of keeping the delegations of the management of museums and theaters clearly distinct from those of major events, of UNESCO and perhaps also merging Tourism .
The most prominent question mark is that which concerns urban planning. The rumors circulating in Via dei Colonnetti concern above all Daniele Soregaroli already in the same role with the Corada council fifteen years ago and returned to political activity during the electoral campaign. Virgilio has already declared that he would not want a technician but a politician in the role. And the profile could really be that of Soregaroli. As regards the Department of Education, the name is mentioned Roberta Mozzi, elected with the Sinistra list for Cremona, who has long experience as a school director at Anguissola and Itis in her CV. Obviously for Rosita Viola (also with Sinistra for Cremona) would mean saying goodbye to the Council and the search for a new name to replace it with the Social Services (almost certainly the prerogative of the Democratic Party). Another role to be defined will be that of Budget Councilor in Manzi’s place. Some approach would have been done with Franco Albertoni (formerly CEO and President of Aem Gestioni with Corada and reconfirmed by Perri) out of the way and critical of Galimberti, despite being close to the Democratic Party, for the methods of ouster from the company. in the next few hours new meetings between the majority parties could better outline the composition of the Council.
