The reception desk of the Ail Teramo “Graziano Petrini” is operational at the entrance to the Mazzini Hematology Unit.
The reception desk is open every morning from Monday to Friday and is managed by Maria Di Filippo, organizational manager of Ail Teramo, who works in direct connection with the Hematology department which is part of the Internal Medicine Department directed by Francesco Delle Monache.
The help desk welcomes patients and family members and absorbs a load of tasks (including bureaucratic ones) that would otherwise have fallen, as has happened so far, on the doctors and department staff. This allows the facility to optimize its activities and be able to focus on the needs and requirements of individual patients. The creation of the desk was possible thanks to a project by Ail Teramo shared with the ASL. To activate the reception service, it was also necessary to physically create the desk where the Ail staff physically works, together with the volunteers. All this was made possible by the “Alessandro Di Francesco Donation”, to whose memory an Ail Teramo Memorial is dedicated. The “Di Francesco Donation” also allowed Ail to allocate to the Hematology department: three computers, three monitors, four printers, three webcams, four chemotherapy chairs and a subscription to the magazine “Linfomi”.
