The police commissioner of the province of Benevento has issued 6 access bans to the places where sporting events (daspo.) are held against as many fans following the events that occurred on the occasion of the football match valid for the 1ª regional category Group “D” “Vitulano – US Ariano Irpino” played on 21 January 2024 at the municipal stadium of Vitulano.
At the end of the match, some clashes occurred between local fans and those of US Ariano Irpino, who were immediately quelled by Carabinieri personnel employed in public order services.
Subsequently, the supporters of the US Ariano Irpino, during the phases of outflow, making use of the intimidating force deriving from the group, had opposed the activities of the police, chanting slogans praising violence and lighting numerous smoke bombs and firecrackers.
Therefore, in consideration of their conduct, which led to a situation of risk for public order and safety, a provision was issued against 5 young people, identified by the military as responsible for the conduct described above, prohibiting access to places where sporting events are held for a period of two years; one of them, already the recipient of a previous similar provision imposed by the police commissioner of Avellino, was banned for 5 years.
