Memoria ‘900 launched the third edition of the “Scatta Velletri” photography contest

After the success of the second edition, the “Scatta Velletri” photography contest is back in 2024. The competition, aimed at the people of Velletri and beyond, has a single aim: to capture aspects, details and peculiarities of the city that escape a distracted glance. The rules are the same as the second edition, with some small updates available on the memoria900.eu website: participation is free and the photographers’ aim will be to “identify landscape views, secret places, particular panoramas or moments of social and daily life in the city, immortalising them with a particularly significant shot”. There is only one proposed theme, “A town means…” and it is necessary to start the photo caption with this wording. The track is a starting point for reflection and should not represent an obstacle to sending photos.

Each participant can participate with a maximum of one photo in the contest. The competition is also open to minors, subject to written authorization from their parents. Participation is very simple: you can take a good quality photo, with your mobile phone or camera, and send it to the email [email protected] indicating the author’s name and surname, place where the photo was taken, and compulsory caption. All participants must also send the release authorizing publication in case of selection. If the participant is a minor, a release signed by the parents must be sent. Sending images is possible until September 10th.

Subsequently, a quality jury made up of photographers, experts and photography enthusiasts will examine them and decide the winners – 20 in number – who will see their photo printed and exhibited by the Association in a dedicated exhibition. A small, free and limited edition catalog will also be printed with the publication of photos and captions. A small awards ceremony will also take place in the presence of the jurors. All you have to do is participate and spread the word. For any information, you can write to the email [email protected] or contact the contact persons, Rocco Della Corte and Emanuela Treggiari.
