Yesterday there was a breakage in an important water pipe which, in addition to supplying water to some private buildings, also supplies the municipal Colibrì nursery in via dell’Antimonio, in the Shanghai district, crossing underground the garden of the school complex.
The technicians of the Municipality and ASA worked to restore the functionality of the stretch, and in the afternoon the supply of water to homes resumed regularly.
The Colibrì garden, where it was necessary to carry out major excavation works with abundant water losses, is currently impracticable and will take at least a couple of days to restore.
Therefore the municipal administration, having consulted the green offices and educational services, has issued an ordinance which provides for the closure of the nursery until the conditions suitable for carrying out educational activities are restored.
Il Colibrì will certainly remain closed today, Wednesday 26 June. The 2023/24 educational year was due to end on Friday 28 June with a garden party.
The Municipal Administration will keep in touch with families and teachers to provide appropriate updates, and will identify a suitable location for the end-of-year party in the event that it is not possible to reopen the Colibrì nursery in time, so that boys, girls and teachers can say goodbye and peacefully conclude the school year.
