The Bishopric – Salerno lights up again with the White Night: the 12th edition arrives between 5 and 7 July

Salerno is preparing to welcome the 12th edition of the White Night, a highly anticipated event that will transform the city into an open-air stage for two days of music and shows, with shops open until late at night. Organized by Fenailp, National Autonomous Federation of Entrepreneurs and Freelancers, the event will be held on July 5th and 7th and will involve four main squares: Piazza Grasso in Mercatello, Piazza della Libertà in Pastena, Piazza Gloriosi in Torrione and Piazza Portanova. The initiative was presented to the Salerno Chamber of Commerce.

Program of events

The party begins Friday 5 July at 8.30pm Maremov Beach Clubwhere the journalist Attilio Romita will host a special evening which will culminate with the presentation of four prestigious awards. The “Notte Bianca Salerno Award” will be dedicated to the memory of the artist from Salerno Luciano Schiavone and will be awarded to local figures who have distinguished themselves in the arts, professions and sports at a national and international level. The awards will be divided into two categories: New Generation and Special Awards. Among the winners are Giulio Della Monicaprotagonist of the Rai TV series “Per Elisa – Il caso Claps”, Victorian Abbotjournalist and Rai presenter, e Angelo Di Gennarocomedian celebrating his 40-year career.

The prize Andrea Carranodedicated to the late Cavaliere del Lavoro and hotel entrepreneur of Ravellowill be delivered to Don Tonino PalmesePresident of the Polis Foundation of the Campania Region and guarantor for the rights of prisoners in the Municipality of Naples.

Saturday 6 July, at 5pm, in the Genovesi Hall of the Chamber of Commerce, the presentation of the debut novel by Bruno Morelli, guitarist of Alunni del Sole, dedicated to his brother Paolo Morelli. During the meeting, a painting by Paolo Morelli will also be revealed, a work worth over 15 thousand euros, which will be donated to the Chamber of Commerce.

The evenings of the Notte Bianca will be animated by a series of concerts and shows. Saturday 6 July, starting at 10pm:

  • Piazza Monsignor Grasso in Mercatello will host the concert of the Alunni del Sole, followed by the performance of Angelo Di Gennaro.
  • In Piazza della Libertà in Pastena, Demo Morselli, Marcello Cirillo and Peppe Iodice will entertain the public.
  • Piazza G. Gloriosi in Torrione will see a live 90s Mash up followed by Ciccio Merolla.

Sunday 7 July, the party will move to the heart of Salerno:

  • Piazza Portanova will be the stage for Gigi Finterno’s concert.

Services and Logistics

To facilitate travel during the event, a free shuttle service will be active from 5pm on 6th July until 3am on 7th July, covering the Arechi Stadium – Via Leucosia section. The metro will extend its service until 3am on July 7, with the last run scheduled for 2am on July 8.
