TRANI – After careful investigations carried out by the soldiers of the local Carabinieri station in Trani, two men aged 24 and 30 ended up in handcuffs for having stabbed one of their peers. After a phone call to 112 from the emergency room operators of the Trani hospital because a boy had numerous stab wounds, the Trani police started investigations, under the direction of the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Trani, which allowed to identify the alleged perpetrators of the violent attack, two friends of the victim.
According to the investigative reconstruction, the victim of the attack, of Trani origins, had left home at 4am to meet his friends who were waiting for him to punish him for a wrong, which would have occurred in the context of the management of drug dealing. After repeatedly hitting him with a stick and wounding him with a knife, the two attackers fled in a car, leaving the victim lying on the ground and bleeding. The latter managed to contact the emergency services and was urgently transported to the local emergency room.
The story of the victim, his family members and witnesses as well as the results of the investigations made it possible to collect useful elements for the reconstruction of the dynamics and origin of the facts. The two attackers were arrested in execution of a precautionary custody order issued by the investigating judge of the Court of Trani for the crimes of attempted murder, in conspiracy, and possession of weapons or objects capable of offending.
