Testimonies from Brescia at the CISL regional safety day

Regional training day dedicated to health and safety for over 150 CISL worker safety representatives, at company and local level, and prevention and protection service managers.

The CISL Lombardia event follows the many assemblies in the workplace that have taken place since the beginning of the year as part of the. “Let’s stop the trail of blood” campaign promoted by the CISL which culminated in our province with a general assembly of delegates which was held at the Montichiari Fair Center last April.

“Also in light of the tragic events of recent days, in the wake of a now daily drip of deaths and injuries in the workplace – stated Ugo Duci, general secretary of CISL Lombardy – the key words of our commitment and our requests must be prevention, training, organization and sanctions”.

The testimonies of the Brescian delegates

Among the testimonies that alternated during the regional training day, two were brought by the Brescian delegates Simone Banfi (photo in the gallery), Rlst of the Make Cisl who in his work experience found himself experiencing the tragedy of colleagues who lost their lives in accidents at work, and Giorgio Macario (photo in the gallery), RLS of CISL FP in the Onlus Cooperativa Sociale Tonini-Boninsegna of Brescia which in its employment context has fortunately never had to face dramatic situations but which has underlined the many implications, also very serious, of health and safety at work, such as stress and workloads of work.

Let’s not stop

Roberta Vaia, member of the Secretariat, also spoke during the morning CISL Lombardy with responsibility for health and safety in the workplace, Cinzia Frascheri, national head of CISL Health and Safety at work, Remo Guerrini, director of INAS Cisl Lombardia and Claudio Arlati representing the IAL, the training body of the national CISL involved in an investigation between CISL delegates on the role of training in workplace safety.

“In the first four months of the year, in Lombardy there was one death at work every two days and 300 accident reports. – concluded Roberta Vaia – We cannot let our guard down, the path we have taken is the right one: let’s not stop. Let’s move forward and open up to the population too, making the issue of safety a priority for everyone.”
