It was approved by the regional council, on the proposal of the councilor for Tourism, Territorial Marketing and Fashion Barbara Mazzalithe scrolling with 24.5 million of the PR FESR 2021-2027 call “Support for the competitiveness of hotel accommodation facilities and non-hotel accommodation facilities”thus redefining the financial allocation of the measure dedicated to raising the quality of Lombardy’s accommodation offer to 54.5 million through investments that aim to raise the quality of accommodation facilities.
In Cremona, the contributions assigned by the Lombardy Region amount to 604,699 euros, resources that will produce total investments in the area of 1.2 million. “With these additional resources”, explained the councilor, “The Lombardy Region intends to strengthen and make Lombardy’s accommodation facilities increasingly competitive. A challenge that sees us alongside our hospitality entrepreneurs who compete every day with international tourist facilities to keep the quality of their offerings high, both in terms of hospitality and services”.
Mazzali also recalled that “the response to the first call with 680 projects presented describes a dynamic Lombard entrepreneurial fabric ready to invest. On the other hand, 2023, with our 51 million overnight stays and 19 million presences, places Lombardy in second place among the regions that have recorded an increase in tourist flows, + 17% compared to 2019, the golden year of Italian tourism ”.
