The seventh edition of Chase the Sun was a success, the race which sees cyclists start from Cesenatico at dawn and arrive at sunset in the Tyrrhenian Sea in Tuscany. The event organized by Turbulent Thinkbike was attended by 250 pedal two-wheel enthusiasts, the majority of whom, 52 percent, came from abroad, of which 30 percent came from the United Kingdom, while the others arrived from Canada. , Holland, Belgium, Switzerland, Australia and Austria. A significant figure is also female participation, which has reached 24 percent. The departure was at 5.25 from the port of Cesenatico and what made the moment even more evocative was the performance of the tenor Giuliano Delvecchio, member of the Ad Novas polyphonic choir of Cesenatico, who intoned “All’alba vincerò”, creating an atmosphere exciting and solemn for all participants. Chase the Sun is not a race, but the most romantic long-distance cycling challenge. It’s an adventure where you ride from dawn to dusk, immersing yourself in the beauty of the Italian landscapes. The cyclists traveled the fascinating route that took them from Cesenatico to Tirrenia, living an unforgettable experience. Out of 250 participants, 240 completed the route. Chase the Sun 2024 also represented an important opportunity for aggregation and sportsmanship, thanks to the cohesion of the participants, the volunteers and the authorities who made the realization of this event possible. The date of the next edition is already set, which is scheduled for 21 June 2025, again departing from Cesenatico.
