It might all seem calculated. A morning of rain and storms only to then, unexpectedly, see the clouds swept away and the sun arrive. Perhaps it was a good omen, and so “Tuscany Rainbow in Summer” was a success with a group of around sixty-five people discovering the A6 itinerary of the Maremma Park. A short but impactful walk along the A6 route, defined as wildlife because it allows, especially at dusk, the possibility of spotting animals such as fallow deer and roe deer, within the Mediterranean forest. Before the excursion, the initiative was introduced by the prefect of Grosseto Paola Berardino, by the director of the Maremma park Enrico Giunta and by the Grosseto report manager of “La Nazione”, Luca Mantiglioni. “They are small treasures – said the prefect Berardino – to be discovered and enjoyed with full respect, protecting them”. “Let’s get the message across – explained Giunta – of protecting an untouched place like our Park, which immediately welcomed the initiative with great pleasure. On the chosen route there is the possibility of seeing a lot of the Park, it is also easily accessible to visually impaired people or people with disabilities”. A journey through the Maremma nature between ciste groves and holm oaks. Among the animals it is possible to appreciate the jay, cervids including fallow deer and roe deer, wild boars, osprey which has returned to nest after 42 years, wild cat and owl. An initiative much appreciated by the participants, who, thanks to an expert guide, walked through a glimpse of the Park, and with it a piece of Maremma, always ready to welcome visitors, as was the case with this proposal that La Nazione offered to its readers. The day ended with an appreciated buffet with agricultural products organized and offered by Confagricoltura and the La Parrina agricultural company.
